Uhf Rfid waste bin managemet

1.RFID is the abbreviation of Radio Frequency Identification

That is, radio frequency identification. The utility model is a non-contact automatic identification technology, which can automatically identify the target object and obtain relevant data through radio frequency signals. RFID technology can identify high-speed moving objects and can identify multiple tags at the same time, fast and convenient operation.

The short distance radio products are oil stain and dust pollution and other harsh environment, can replace the barcode in such an environment, such as tracking objects in factory assembly line.

Long distance radio frequency products are used in traffic, the identification distance of up to tens of meters, such as automatic charging or identification of vehicle identity.

2.Why use UHF RFID for waste bin

RFID system consists of three parts:

Label (Tag): by coupling components and chips, each label is the only electronic encoding, logo attached to the target object; the electronic tag can store objects related data (about 1K bits). In the automatic identification management system, each electronic tag is stored in an object’s attributes, status, number and other information. Electronic tags are usually installed on the surface of the object, with a certain metal free perspective.

Reader (Reader): a device that reads (and can sometimes write) label information and can be designed to be hand-held or stationary; its main function is:

1.access to the current data stored in the electronic tag information;

2.writes the data information to be stored in the blank label;

3.modify (re write) data information in electronic tags.

4.antenna (Antenna): RF signal transmission between the reader and tag.

working principle

When an electronic tag is an object at a distance of 3 a 6 meters range close to the reader, the reader controlled a microwave query signal received in the electronic tag installation surface read write device after the query signal, this signal and tag data in the integrated reflection back label reading device. Reflected back to the microwave synthesis signal, has been carrying electronic tag data information. When the reader receives the microwave synthetic signal reflected back by the electronic label, the information stored in the electronic tag can be read out after the microprocessor is processed by the microprocessor.

3.Why use UHF RFID for waste bin

With costs rising in the waste management process, RFID is enabling cities and municipalities to reliably identify individual receptacles and can create incentive-based recycling programs that accurately reward customers for the amount they recycle, while minimizing the overall amount of trash.

By automating the collection of all waste, RFID can assure that individual bins have been collected, providing verification of service. In addition this information can be used to optimize truck usage and routes. Processes can be streamlined and more accurate.

RFID technology helps a lot to increase efficiency of the waste management operations. To realize this application, a properly designed rugged RFID tag is attached to the waste bins. It contains all user/owner information.

3 to 6meter Encoder/writer Tag for waste bin

VI-86F Integrated reader

VD-67 USB desktop writer
1.To write the EPC code of the each tag before installation.Encode by the USB desktop reader.
2.The next step is to bundle the tag details in the application system.
For example.
(Tag ID12345678) fixed on the rubbish bin. And this bin is belong to location one.When the truck go to location one for take out the trash and read the tag on this bin.
The Data will upload to the sever by GPRS.
(Reader ID/Tag ID/Reading time/location) those details is handling by the application software
